Big Game is KTVU game of the week

Tonight’s Napa-Vintage Big Game at Memorial Stadium has been voted as the “KTVU High School Football Game of the Week.”
KTVU, which will air highlights of the contest on its 10 p.m. newscast tonight, is billing the annual intra-city rivalry as a “wine country showdown.”
The Big Game — which has a 7:30 p.m. kickoff — was one of five games that were available for fans to vote on all week on the TV station’s Web site, KTVU.com. Napa-Vintage won by a landslide.
Other choices included San Ramon Valley-Monte Vista, Fairfield-Armijo, Archbishop Mitty-Serra and Monta Vista-Cupertino.
Napa enters Big Game XXXVII in first place, having already clinched at least a tie for the Monticello Empire League title and a No. 1 seed for the upcoming CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs. Napa will be looking to win its eighth straight game and lock down homefield advantage for the first three weeks of the playoffs, which start on Nov. 21.
