Although Napa is the better team, Vintage is much improved and has the athletes to compete. Vintage has to step up their defense. If they don't - it lights out. They have no chance !
I see Napa winning 42-31 with Vintage keeping it close to the end.
Blue skies in the forecast for Friday which will lead to another Memorial Stadium sell out ! Good luck to all the kids in this one ! "

So now that I got that out of the way...
Napa is on another roll...... difference here is.... it is the BIG GAME. Most of these boys have grown up together. PRIDE plays a huge role in this game every year. Vintage has a VERY good defense, but the D spends WAY too much time on the field, as the offense has sputtered all year.
If Vintage can establish the run early on offense (not overpower, just make Napa BELIEVE Vintage can run), then Vintage can open up and attack Napa's weakness...Pass Defense.
But the "IF" is a BIGGIE......... Napa has shown all year they can score at will, the 2 headed monster @ QB makes for a defensive coaches nightmare.....
The Way I see it:
Napa - Do what U do on offense.... stop the pass on D.....
Vintage - Keep Napa's offense off the field by controlling the clock with the run.. keep it close, and win the 4th quarter.
Crusher Fan Score:
Vintage 24
Napa 21
(One can hope RIGHT!!!!!)
Reality Score:
Napa 28
Vintage 7
I might be a die-hard Crusher Fan, but I also live in reality!.
Good Luck this Friday to both teams, and let both teams leave the game healthy! "

Now in my sons eyes.......it will be Napa by a landslide......even if the scorboard says Vintage........they have selective eyesight too.
I guess it's all in the eyes of the beholder......
From a two high school family.....Go Crushers & Go Indians.......you are both winners as far as this family is concerned. "

in their scrimmage they came out on fire but ever scince that brawl theve seem to come out more hesitant, thus the reason for the big lincoln loss.
every game they have had the chance to win or keep it close but they never came together and took it all the way.
vintage has great individuals such as nuber 2 the hb, 58 and 68 leading the o line, and 47 55 and 7 leading the defence.
although im a coach mott lover i think b. smith will pull away.
napa will have a tremendous challenge against patrick kiser #58 the junior left tackle because of his pass protection and his drive off the ball, and ceazar bogarin #47 the strong side defensive end with his strength.
i still belive in napa but it will be a fight "

After studying the standings, evaluating the players, consulting my table of probabilities, reading again the laws of elasticity and statistics, and following the equations to the outer limit, I can conclusively state that the Napa margin of victory will be, at the very minimum, one more point than Vintage scores . . .
And yes, the Big Game Halftime Show will be super too! Someone please tape it and put it on YouTube so I can watch it again and again! "

Just like every year the players and thier schools get hyped up...
with the media, the pep rally's and those unforgettable bon fires!
Both teams have really come along way since last year. -Napa being the section champs. But Vintage coming thorugh with losing players coaches and trying to get by week by week.
Come game day every player and coach is at there best. Both teams get focused and play hard and you shall strive to win!
My prediction:
Napa- 28
Vintage-6
Actual score:
Napa-28
Vintage-6

That said, Napa has a knack for losing when they should win. For example - 97.. Napa was undefeated going in and was SHUT OUT! Also.. was it 2005? Same deal there - should have won but lost.
Both years, Napa had some arrogant big game slogan (97 it was 'the sage continues' about multiple year victories).
I am predicting a closer than expected game... Napa plays sloppy (unfortunately) when it is emotional (see turnovers). Napa 32, Vintage 28 "
