Prep Soccer: Millenium 2, Trinity Prep 1

Dan Carvalho scored a goal, but it wasn’t enough as Trinity Prep fell to Millenium of Tracy in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs on Tuesday.

“I’m very proud of how the team finished up,” said Trinity Prep coach Sal Alvarez. “They progressed really well and wound up playing toe-to-toe with a top-ranked team in Millenium.”

Goalkeeper Alex Nelson sparkeled for Trinity Prep. Millenium scored first, then Carvalho scored on a free kick from 35 yards out to tie things 1-1 at halftime. The deciding tally came 36 minutes into the second half.
