" I tried to attend my first Big Game last year. It was a joke. I don't understand how the schools can justify selling more tickets than there are seats in the stadium. I showed up before the game ready to support my community, and full of anticipation to watch my first big game. I made several laps around the bleachers, and could not find a single empty seat. What a disappointment to have to leave after spending half an hour being jostled and shoved just trying to find a place to sit. If the ticket money wasn't going towards our schools I would have demanded a refund. "

" I couldn't agree more. I am Napa High Alumni and previous Napa High Athlete. I tried to attend the game last year to support my alma mater and younger family members playing inthe game. Being a Napa native I know that Big Game gets busy and that it's hard to find a seat after the JV game. HOWEVER, the amount of people packed into that stadium was simply irresponsible. If there are no more seats there should not be any more tickets sold or admissions allowed, plain and simple. Not only was there not room to sit down there was barely places to stand. People where packed in there like sardines! After being nearly trampled by the band as they filed onto the field for the National Anthem I felt being in the "standing room only" section of the stadium was too dangerous so we left. Shame on the stadium organizers for not implementing better crowd control. Hopefully this years crew will have learned from last years blaring mistakes. "

" to KK and winebox:
If you are both "supporting" the kids, and especially if you are an alum, then you would KNOW that you MUST get to the stadium @ 5:00 and WATCH the JV game, so you can have a SEAT!.

This is THE BIGGEST event for H.S. sports in this city EVERY YEAR!.

SHOW UP EARLY............ STANDING ROOM ONLY EVERY YEAR......

The FIRE MARSHALL is at the gate, look for 3 or 4 firefighters by the BBQ, they are there every year......

When the stadium gets close to capacity they get the count from the ticket takers, and at 7,100, they CUT IT OFF.....

Yes that means about 500 people have to sit in endzone bleachers or STAND....

GO EARLY, GO support these boys who are playing against each other for the last time (in some cases), and have grown up together since elementary school!.

Quit complaining!!!!!!!

The BIG GAME has always been this way!

I can't wait to see the look on Mark Ibanez and Fred Ingles faces when KTVU shows up here!!!!!

Go CRUSH!!!!! "

" Quit whining about it and get there early! I myself....as a gramdma....have sat on the grass at the end zone. It was little nearve wracking as the team was charging our way, but an exciting game none the less.
You could always pay for reserved seats at the start of the season.......I can't believe that you would stand in the way of the band....and then complain about it. That is just the way it works folks. Maybe you should just stay home anyway....we don't want whiney grumpy people sitting by us!
GO VINTAGE CRUSHERS! "

" As a Napa High Alum, let me tell you that the reason things were so messed up last year was because it was Vintage's gate. They did not keep track of the pre-sold tickets which put the attendance way over the allowed capacity. The additional seating will be accomplished by moving the walkways and adding bleachers. Napa High has the gate this year and they are taking this very seriously. Leave it to Napa High to do it right!!! Go Indians!! "
