Win $50 in Obama v. McCain contest
By DAN ROSS
Register Online Staff
Play for FREEPredict the winner of the Presidential election, and the right electoral vote count, and win a $50 gift certificate to a Napa restaurant.
The rules are pretty simple. All you have to do is post the last name of the candidate and the total number of electoral votes the winning candidate will end up with. Entries close at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
We need a tiebreaker in case there's two or more with the right guess, so here's your chance to predict the Napa vote totals. Add to your guess the percent of vote the winning candidate receives in Napa at the end of Tuesday's tally.
So here's how your vote would read.
Obama, 291, 55.4 percent, or McCain, 277, 53.6 percent (if that's your guess).
Please, no comments posted about anyone's guesses, or any comments about the candidates here. We are hosting Live Election Blogs going all day Tuesday, plus plenty of other places to voice your opinions.
Anything other than just your guess gets your submission deleted and thus makes it not valid for the contest.
Ready? Go for it!

zanchin wins if McCain wins North Carolina, leaving Obama at zanchin's electoral vote guess of 349. zanchin's Napa-for-Omaba guess of 56.5 percent is the tiebreaker to separate zanchin from irishrover94503, who also guessed 349 electoral votes for Obama but guessed 51 percent for the Napa voie.
Mr. Burns wins if Obama takes North Carolina with the correct electoral vote guess of 364. His 69 percent guess for the Napa-for-Obama vote was close to the 65.2 total as of now that we are using. "
