Dear editor, I’ve been a Napa County resident for many years and care about the future of this area. We have a lot of challenges ahead. We have roads in disrepair, unacceptable traffic congestion, water supply and protection needs, development pressures and a gang presence in local neighborhoods, just to name a few.

I’m supporting Gary Simpson for county supervisor because I feel he’s the most experienced candidate to tackle these tough concerns. He’s lived in this area for a long time and knows the issues. He’s already proven that he won’t be beholden to special interests or “business as usual” politics. When he was county sheriff he took the “good ol’ boy” network at the sheriff’s department and turned it around into a professional and modern organization.
I would urge you to vote for Gary Simpson, a man of integrity and experience, as supervisor of District 5.
