A previous Glad You Asked column listed collection box locations but boxes have disappeared since. Could you reprint the list?
When you’re a procrastinator, have a million tasks to tend to and it’s a legitimate, easy-to-answer question, I say why not? Ah ... a writer’s work is never done. Don’t believe me? Just ask any editor.
Thank you, reader, for inadvertently making my job a little bit easier with this question.
My predecessor, Jill Decker, covered this subject on Aug. 3, 2006. In her column, the information she collected provided a reason as to why these boxes are removed — if a box doesn’t have enough mail deposited into it, then it’s not worth it to the collectors to make a trip to empty it out. This may be an inconvenience to some of us, but if that means the collector will deliver my mail faster and more efficiently, so be it.
