Dear editor, So, the Napa Register endorses John McCain. Not surprising since they previously endorsed George W. Bush. Some people never learn.

I disagree with the Register's support of Mike Thompson, a proven failure in congress. I also disagree with several of their proposition picks - but I am willing to allow that they have their right to an opinion.

" masivlusr, you need to realize that "free speech" means the right of other people to call you out when they don't agree with what you're saying. In other words, just because people are vocal in their opposition to the NVR endorsement of McCain, in no way does it mean that they believe that the NVR shouldn't say anything. If the NVR endorses a candidate, it opens itself up to criticism, which is...again...free speech. If you can't handle criticism, perhaps you should reevaluate just how much you jabber. Free speech also means the freedom to NOT say anything if you can't handle the heat.

And as for YOU advising anyone on "humanism"...well...that's about the funniest thing I've ever read from you. "
