I disagree with the Register's support of Mike Thompson, a proven failure in congress. I also disagree with several of their proposition picks - but I am willing to allow that they have their right to an opinion.
You should learn a lesson your self about humanism. "

Here it is:
"According to an analysis of campaign contributions by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, Democrat Barack Obama has received nearly six times as much money from troops deployed overseas at the time of their contributions than has Republican John McCain, and the fiercely anti-war Ron Paul, though he suspended his campaign for the Republican nomination months ago, has received more than four times McCain's haul." Last I heard, contributions from service members deployed overseas are running 6 to 1 in favor of Obama.
What might that suggest? "

So we see the desperate right-wing extremist comments getting more and more incendiary and absurd -- in addition, of course, to the same old tiresome lies. McCain and Palin perpetuate the twisted myths about Obama, to deflect from their obvious, glaring failings.
And still, Obama takes the high road. "

I got a great laugh. Very clever piece of satire of a right wing extremist nut.
Bravo jwk, bravo! "

Freddie Mac secretly paid a Republican consulting firm $2 million to kill legislation that would have regulated and trimmed the mortgage finance giant and its sister company, Fannie Mae, three years before the government took control to prevent their collapse.
In the cross hairs of the campaign carried out by DCI of Washington were Republican senators and a regulatory overhaul bill sponsored by Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. DCI's chief executive is Doug Goodyear, whom John McCain's campaign later hired to manage the GOP convention in September.
Freddie Mac's payments to DCI began shortly after the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee sent Hagel's bill to the then GOP-run Senate on July 28, 2005. All GOP members of the committee supported it; all Democrats opposed it. "
