Donovan Pierre, 23, and Derrice Lewis, 16, appeared before Napa County Superior Court Judge Rodney Stone. The pair is charged with the Sept. 22 murder and robbery of 16-year-old Napa High School student Jesus Tornero.
Pierre and Lewis are accused of robbing the boy of $10 and his cell phone before they beat him to death in the 2300 block of Louisa Street, very close to the apartments where his family lives in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue .

A preliminary hearing for both is set for Jan. 23.

" Of corse it wasn't them. It was just a couple of guys that look like them....there are a lot of guys running around that look like them........I don't know how they got his cell phone.....it must have been a frame.........PLEASE!
I just hope that the entire story comes out. Jesus's death was not necessary....... His family and friends need closure. "

" Derrice Lewis 16 is being charged as an "adult" he should be housed in the "adult" jail not at juvenile hall..he needs to get used to being with the "adults." "

" As long as the DA and PD did everything by the book.
These guys will get what they deserve. If found guilty I hope they never make it back on the streets "
