11 a.m.OK Pro Football Pool players, the freebies are over, here comes Randy.
After spotting players four weeks by not having the best picks in the world, Register.com Sports Editor Randy Johnson made his big move last week, continuing this week as he placed 4th in Week No. 6 of the Can You Beat Randy? weekly NFL pool.
Michael Lowery of Napa (mikeymouse) had 11 wins and the top spot for Week No. 6 until the New York Giants lost the Monday night game to the Cleveland Browns.
Andy Newby of Napa (newbynet) nailed the Browns upset, jumping up to 11 wins also, beating Lowery with a better tiebreaker guess of the final score in the Chargers/Patriots Sunday night game.
Newby takes first place for Week No. 6, with Lowery in second.
Randy (LionFan20) was a game back with 10 wins, but his tiebreakers guess was not as good as Nancy Horst-Schauer from Wisconsin (Heywoman53), so Horst-Schauer takes 3rd place, with Randy in 4th.
Cory Matacio of Napa (atomicbugs) also had 10 right in Week No. 6, with his tiebreaker guess solidifying 5th place. A total of 14 players had 10 right in Week No. 6.
All of the Top-5 in the overall standings are out-of-Napa players, with edlank5 from North Carloina and gooddoc13 from Nevada tied with 61 wins. Malantiger from Connecticut,
Maglon from Cota de Casa, Ca. and smythm from Washington state are in a three-way tie for third with 60 wins.
