Two crashes involving three vehicles traveling on Highway 12 early Friday morning resulted in minor injuries and stopped traffic for approximately 30 minutes.

The first collision happened at about 7:45 a.m. east of Kirkland Ranch Road, according to Pricella Brown, California Highway Patrol office services supervisor.
Amy Henschel of Vacaville was driving a 2009 Toyota westbound on Highway 12 when she struck an eastbound Dodge Durango driven by Patrick Lider, a 21-year-old St. Helena resident, Brown said. Lider, whose vehicle was struck in the side, was not seriously injured and was treated at the scene.

Henschel, who was traveling at between 45 and 55 miles per hour at the time of the first impact, then struck a second eastbound car, Brown said.
The second car — a 2001 Buick driven by 32-year-old Jennifer Brucker of Napa — was struck from the front. Passengers in the Buick included Earl Brucker, 62, and Dolores Brucker, 65, both of Napa. A 6-year-old child who lives in Napa was also in the vehicle and suffered no injuries, Brown said.

All six people involved in the crashes were wearing their seat belts.
Henschel, 25, was the only person not treated at the scene for minor injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Kaiser hospital in Vallejo after complaining of pain in her neck and back.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accidents, Brown said.
