Say what you want about Caldwell's signs, he speaks like a human being, who has done his homework, is not afraid of tough questions, and gives DETAILED answers to the questions. Simson just mumbles some BS and tries to move on. (Sounds like a long time politician).
The fact that he has the support of the current board of sups is not a good thing! Good 'ol boy politics and the same old school views are not what we need around here.
Gary Simson you lost me with your showing on these webcast debates and with the numbers you have spent on your campain. You are no better than any other carrer politician.
Caldwell you have my vote if you are truly this real and maintain that in office. "

I do know that Caldwell is not perfect and that he has made past mistakes. Nevertheless, I appreciate that he is willing to take risk in providing details. There are a lot of people out there who do not want Caldwell in office because they fear he will question their authority. Caldwell is dynamic and smart. We need those qualities now more than ever. No more good ol boys in office who just vote because someone has the financial resources to tell them what to do. Be wary of some of those who post negative Caldwell comment here. What are there motives? Are they an extension of the good ol boys network? Times are tough and we need smart, dynamic politicians who aren't timid about answering tough questions. And I guarantee you, that a politician who cannot answer questions is expecting someone else to do it for them. I'm tired of the puppet show with corporate controlled strings. "

I have listened to/watched the pod casts and was very unimpressed with Simpson, and pretty surprised by it. I suppose that he always has underlings to do the talking for him in the sheriffs dept. I was very impressed with Caldwell's answers and explainations. I think that all the talk about him doing something wrong by ok-ing raises to fire fighters has been blown up by people who don't support him and are trying to throw mud at him. The raises were ok-ed by other chiefs in other departments, not just by him in AC, and others higher up than he, but there doesn't seem to be any talk about the others in Napa County who also were duped by this bogus school. This was originally brought to light by Cindy Coffey after she lost the election. Pay back? Looks that way to me. "
