Elements Restaurant & Enoteca has opened for lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. The restaurant will remain open until after dinner. Lunch specials will vary daily, with items ranging from creative sandwiches to light and healthy entree-sized salads.

Kelley Novak is now serving breakfast and brunch, starting at 8 a.m., at her No Bad Days Café in downtown Napa.
Breakfast is served Wednesday through Sunday until 2:30 p.m. She serves lunch starting at 11:30 a.m., and dinner Wednesday through Saturday starting at 5 p.m.

Art Association merges galleries

The Napa Valley Art Association has closed its gallery at Napa Town Center and moved all its art into its Artists of the Valley showroom at 710 First St., in the Oxbow district.

It will display art from its more than 100 member-artists from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Shelton’s life to be celebrated

Friends and family will celebrate the life for Tom Shelton from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Charles Krug Winery.

The liked and respected Shelton died July 26 of brain cancer. He was the president of Joseph Phelps Vineyards for 13 years.

Those attending are asked to donate $25 per person to help further his last dream, a new bike path up the Napa Valley.

Unified Wine & Grape Symposium

The Unified Wine & Grape Symposium will expand its program in 2009 with a fourth day.

Opening on Tuesday, Jan. 27, the symposium will extend through Jan. 30, with the addition of a full-day program on aroma on Friday. The conference is held at the Sacramento Convention Center.

Mustard Festival seeks nonprofits, businesses to promote 

Though it’s not a charitable effort itself but a tourism promotion, the Mustard Festival happily promotes nonprofit events that occur during its off-season run.
