The origins of the giveaway
Dear editor,
This is my second attempt to get you to publish these comments. Today, with the largest, and most dynamic economy in the history of human civilization in shambles, I thought I would try again. So here is a letter that the Register refused to publish back in the summer of 2005.
“Who better to run our country than a rancher, cattleman, businessman? Someone who understands that there is no profit without a slaughter. The dictates of our cattleman’s morality are simple and consistent: good, better, best can be discerned by the ‘cents’ that things make. Whether the combatants are Shiites and Sunnis, Hutus and Tutsi, or Americans versus whoever: remember, there are bucks to be made when slaughtering time comes. So, lie if you must, but get it to come. Then from a safe distance, hoist the flag high and stick out your chest. Loudly proclaim that you are defending democracy and proceed with the transfer of wealth; from the pockets and the flesh of the people, to the pockets of our very own cattle masters, Halliburton and friends.”
I ended the letter with a warning, “The $1.4 trillion giveaway was just the beginning.”
Thank you for the opportunity to say, “I told you so.”

The slaughter in Iraq has not made America healthy, wealthy and wise. Instead it has been the start of the decline and fall of the American economy.
Please, Banana Republicans... tell us that EVERYTHING is the Democrat's fault a few hundred more times, would ya?

Still not sure what the Hutsies and Tutus have to do with the war.
The war accomplished exactly what it was intended to do: enforce the UN mandates, remove a dangerous dictator, ensure that Iraq would never be a threat to the US or its neighbors and to take the fight to the Islamofascists on their own territory instead of here at home. Mission accomplished on all counts! "
