5 killed when Greyhound bus overturns in Williams

9 p.m.WILLIAMS, Calif. — Authorities say five people died and dozens were injured after a Greyhound bus overturned in north-central California.

The crash happened Sunday around 6:12 p.m. around Williams, which is about 60 miles north of Sacramento. California Highway Patrol dispatcher Terry Troth says at least 30 people were injured.
He says the bus was headed to Colusa Casino Resort from Sacramento.

Authorities say the injured are being transported to several area hospitals.
No other cars are reported to be involved in the crash. The severity of any injuries is unclear.

" I often see Greyhound busses in the fast lane doing 80 miles an hour, tailgating cars. It's a wonder that these accidents are so rare. "

" I was there when it happened, it all happened so quick, i was headed home from Chico State University and we saw that bus tipped over and we saw about 7 fire trucks going to the scene and about 8 cop cars and like 20 ambulances, they were headed north and i was going south on interstate505. "
