Dear editor, Recently the Napa Valley Coalition of Nonprofit Agencies became aware of a critical need at the Community Action of Napa Valley Food Bank. For the first time in many years the Food Bank needed to purchase food to stock the shelves.

The coalition immediately responded to this basic human need and food donation barrels are now located at Napa Valley Hospice and Adult Day Services (414 S. Jefferson St.), Fair Housing Napa Valley (601 Cabot Way), Mechanics Bank (Gasser building on Soscol Avenue), Child Start (439 Devlin Road) and Disability Services and Legal Center (1040 Main St.). In addition, organizations such as St. Helena Hospital are conducting food drives. The community stepped forward at the Aloha Festival, where 13 food barrels were filled.
The Napa Valley Coalition of Nonprofit Agencies exists to help our member agencies help the community. We welcome your assistance in providing food for those in our community who are less fortunate. Please consider donating food directly to the Food Bank at 1755 Industrial Way, Suite 1, or at any of the locations listed above, or making a monetary donation to Napa Food Bank. Thank you.

Linda Schulz, board member / Napa Valley Coalition of Nonprofit Agencies
