NapaValleyRegister.com is running a three-day series on gangs in Napa. The series began Sunday, concluding Tuesday.

" Stories like these are the problem. Napa does not have any real gangs. Just a bunch of young punks coming from good homes that want to jump on the bandwagon and instantly become a "gang" member. How cool to wear the "RIP" shirt, pour some out for my homie, etc.. The more Napa residents fear gangs the more of a reality it will become. Let's not forget, this is Napa. Those of us with exposure to any other county laugh when Napa speaks of gangs. Reality check- these are not gangs! Just a kids from middle to upper class homes trying to be cool! "
