The county coroner’s office has released the identities of a motorcyclist who was killed on Saturday in a traffic crash and a missing Fairfield man whose body was found in the Lake Berryessa area more than a week ago.

On Saturday morning, Ronald Wayne Kohl, 37, of Vallejo, was riding his motorcycle north on Highway 29, just north of the Butler Bridge.
Kohl lost control of his motorcycle, hit the left shoulder and then the center divider guardrail, police said.

Kohl was thrown from the bike, which flew over the center guardrail and landed on the southbound lanes of the highway, police said.
Witnesses estimated Kohl was traveling about 60 miles per hour, police said.

The body found on Sept. 21 off Monticello Road and Wooden Valley Cross Road has been identified as Michael Wayne Lizarraja, 37, of Fairfield.
Lizarraja was reported missing to Fairfield police by his family on Sept. 14. His body was discovered by family members who were searching for him, according to Napa County Sheriff’s Capt. John Robertson.

On Sept. 14, Lizarraja was being driven to Lake Berryessa. When the car stopped at the stop sign at Monticello Road and Wooden Valley, Lizarraja jumped from the vehicle and ran away into a heavily wooded area.

His body was found about 300 yards off Monticello Road.

An autopsy was performed. The cause of death is pending the results of toxicology tests done at the autopsy, Robertson said.

Foul play has been ruled out, he said.
