Shelton's life to be celebrated
A celebration of life for Tom Shelton, who died July 26 after a long battle with brain cancer, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Charles Krug Winery. A barbecue lunch will be served on the lawn and the afternoon will include live music. Attendees are asked to bring a picnic blanket, a pie or a bottle of wine.
Those attending are asked to join Tom’s family and friends to realize Tom’s last dream, a new bike path up the Napa Valley. Donations requested are $25 per person. Checks should be made to the Tom Shelton Napa Valley Bike Trail Fund.
Reservations are required at www.shelton place.com.
Shelton was the president of Joseph Phelps Vineyards for 13 years. He joined the company in 1992.
