The Vintage varsity boys cross country team pulled out a 24-31 victory over a large Vacaville squad on Wednesday at Alston Park.

Andrew Deck finished first and Dylan Buterbaugh second in 17:33 and 17:51, respectively, to lead the Crushers.
Michael Deck was fifth in 18:10, Zach Wagner seventh in 18:49, and Rudy Reyes ninth in 19:10.

Taide Guerra finished first overall in 22:07 to lead Vintage’s varsity girls, running from the front nearly the entire race and winning on a strong kick from a quarter-mile out.
Robin Pisor started conservatively and picked off many runners the second half of the race to finish fourth in 23:25. Trinity Furman (10th in 25:16) Angeliza Lapid (12th 26:05) and Kathleen Deck (16th in 28:11) rounded out the top five.

Neither of the Crushers’ frosh-soph teams had enough runners to get a team score, but Tyler Burnett (fouth in 12:22) and Mitch Cooldige (fifth in 12:51) represented the boys in solid fashion.
Tiana Lewis and Morgan Robinson finished together in 19:56 for the girls.
