Piecing together an exhibit

Making quilts is a passion for the members of Napa Valley Quilters Guild and on Sunday afternoon the group shared that passion with the community at Justin-Siena High School. The quilt fair — dubbed “Wine, Women and Quilts” — took place inside the school’s gymnasium and featured 200 or more works of art crafted by guild members.

Two men wounded in gang-related stabbings

Two men were listed in stable condition at Queen of the Valley Medical Center Sunday evening after being stabbed multiple times during two separate gang fights over the weekend, police said. The Napa Police Department is investigating a possible link to the stabbings and one that occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Fire crews battle small brush fire

Napa County firefighters battled a small brush fire that consumed three or more acres of brush along Highway 128 Sunday afternoon.

Sentencing Tuesday for Vallejo teens convicted of murder

The Vallejo teen brothers convicted of the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy almost two years ago will be sentenced Tuesday afternoon in Napa.
