Gilbert-Ryder engagement

Jessica Rosemary Gilbert of Woodland and Bradley Perkins Ryder of San Jose are pleased to announce their engagement to be married June 27, 2009, at Black Butte Ranch in Sisters, Ore.

Jessica is the daughter of Allyn and Elaine Gilbert of Bend, Ore., and granddaughter of Morris and Harriet Cogan of Napa and of Allyn Gilbert of St. Helena. She is a 2003 graduate of Justin-Siena High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Oregon, where she obtained her bachelor of science in education with a minor in special education. While at the University of Oregon, she coached and rode for the school’s equestrian team.
She is currently working on a master’s degree in education at UC Davis. Jessica is employed by Woodland Joint Unified School District as a second-grade teacher, in Woodland.

Bradley is the son of Randy and Katherine Ryder of Napa and grandson of Don and Karin Ryder of Saginaw, Mich. He is a 2003 graduate of Vintage High School. He is employed by California Highway Patrol in San Jose as an officer.
