Varsity Girls Water Polo: Napa High 12, El Camino 6
Napa High extend its season record to 3-0, defeating El Camino-Sacramento.
College Women's Golf: Napa Valley opens season
The Storm opened its season last week at the Big 8 Conference Tournament No. 1 at Teal Bend in Sacramento. Napa Valley had an incomplete team, but Jackie Ang shot an 81 and Cheryl Salmon had an 88.
Frosh-Soph Girls Water Polo: Davis 13, Vintage 1
Corinne Schafle scored the lone goal on an assist from Lexi Baldwin. Schafle led the Crushers by winning three sprints, scoring a goal on four shots and had two steals. Lexi Baldwin had one shot, won a sprint and had an assist. Olivia Husted had a shot and two steals. Chelsea Murdock had two shots, Laurel Davis had one shot, Brianna McFadden had one shot, and Madeline Murdock had three saves in goal.

Last week: Justin inaugurated new Dodd Stadium with a 50-0 victory over Emery of Emeryville. Acalanes traveled to Santa Cruz and defeated Aptos 26-12.

David vs. Goliath: On the Vista del Lago football Web site, a poll asked fans which of the Eagles’ four nonleague games they were most looking forward to. Friday’s opener against Napa got 82.9 percent of the votes.

The Justin-Siena boys soccer team went from a 3-0 team to a .500 squad, as it dropped three tough games in as many days.
Varsity Volleyball: Napa 3, Analy 1
The Indians won Tuesday, 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, in Sebastopol.
Varsity Boys Water Polo: El Camino 16, Napa 10
Jarrod Ebeling and Spencer May each had three goals and Kevin Lung and Devon Jones added two apiece in the Indians’ nonleague loss Tuesday in Sacramento. May and Jones each chipped in two assists, May had two steals, and Ebeling and Drew Teicheira had one steal each.
Lincoln (0-0) at Vintage (0-0)
Last year: Vintage fell behind early and lost the nonleague game to Lincoln, 24-22, in Stockton. But the second half of the season-opening contest belonged to the Crushers as Sean Ryan, making his varsity debut at quarterback, ran for two touchdowns, passed for another and completed a two-point conversion pass.
Varsity Volleyball: Napa 3, Armijo 0
The Indians improved to 3-0 overall by winning their Monticello Empire League opener in Fairfield on Wednesday, 25-8, 25-5, 25-17.
