Braves splash to first victory

Justin-Siena’s boys water polo team, playing as a junior varsity team for theleague season, earning their first win of the season Saturday.

The Braves fell to Rio Linda 10-5 in the varsity Sierra Tournament in Rocklin. Junior Reese Onate had four saves and freshman Tony Borges had two. Onate also played in the field for a quarter and scored a goal, to go along with two goals by freshman Sam Starr, and one each from Alex Power and Cameron Smith. 
The Braves lost to Franklin  of Elk Grove 14-2.  Evan Roscoe had two saves.  Power and Starr scored one each.

Justin-Siena then beat Florin, 11-6. Power scored five goals. Starr had three. Smith, Kien Nguyen, and freshman Gio Petroni also chipped in with one goal each.
