Vintage cruised past the 2007 Sac-Joaquin Section runner-up at the Crusher Swim Center.

“St. Francis is always tough but we played them tough and got valuable experience playing against one of the best teams in the section,” said Vintage coach Julian Szmidt. “Our shot clock management improved during the game and our ability to see and make the correct pass in the front court also improved.”

Junior Katrina Husted posted two goals, one assist, four steals and four caused kickouts; senior Brooke Obranovich had one goal; sophomore Lexi Baldwin posted a goal and two earned kickouts; sophomore Corinne Schafle had one goal and three steals; senior Liz Holman had two steals; and Stefanie Frye had six saves in goal and one steal.
