CommentNAPA - William Grifton Carden, 75, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Bill was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 10, 1933.
He worked for Safeway for 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He leaves his wife, Lucia, of which on Aug. 22, 2008, they would have been married 55 years; two daughters: Gayle and Sheila; three grandchildren: Jacob, Allison and Joseph; and two great-grandchildren: Ethan and Damien.
