NAPA - Sharon Jeanette Pyle died peacefully at home on Aug. 22, 2008, while surrounded by her family. She was 65.

Sharon was born on July 4, 1943, to Edwin and Bernice Bradley in Richmond. She attended and graduated from schools in Vallejo. She lived in Richmond, Grass Valley and Vallejo prior to moving to Napa in 1963.
She was married to Fred F. Galey Jr. from 1962 to 1978. She was involved in the local chapter of the Moose Lodge in the 1970s.

Sharon went to work at the Veterans Home of California at Yountville in 1972, where she worked in both the Janitorial and Food Service departments. After retiring from the Veterans Home of California at Yountville, she spent her remaining years enjoying her family, going to Reno and Cache Creek, doing genealogy research, family barbecues, fishing, camping and playing games on Pogo.com.
In 1981, she married her best friend and soulmate, John Pyle, in Carson City, Nev. She enjoyed 27 beautiful years of marriage to him. She was affectionately called “Moma” by John and “Pretty Momma” by her girls.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, John, of Napa and her children: Jeanette Lucas of American Canyon; Linda Hernandez (Eddie) of Colorado; Jamie Smith (Ronald) of Washington; Tina Halterman (Dwayne) of Napa; and Kimberly Hosley (Brian) of American Canyon. She is also survived by her siblings, Beverly Bullock of Arizona; Barbara England of Missouri; Kenneth Bradley of North Dakota; Julie Sanford of Napa; and sister-in-law Jill Childs of Hayward. Twelve grandchildren also survive her: Eddie, Angelina and Michael Hernandez; Kristoffer and Steffan Brown; Krystena Halterman; Tanaya and Shayna Lucas; Bradley and Marissa Privett; Dominic and Victoria Hosley. Our dear family friend Robert Aguilar was there for her and survives her also.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Eddie Bradley and Larry Bradley Sr.; and her grandson, Ronald Gray.

Sharon will be remembered for her strong family values, her wonderful 4th of July and birthday barbecues, her holiday buffets and Christmas celebrations; her generous nature; her great sense of humor; and her strong will, which was present until her final breath.

Her husband, her daughters, sons-in-law and her grandchildren were her life and she was our rock, our mentor, our everything.

We all love you and miss you already. Heaven got a true angel today because surely you will receive your wings!

In keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held. A celebration of her life for all family and friends to attend will be Saturday, Aug. 30, starting at 2 p.m., at her home at 1991 S. Terrace Dr., Napa.

Condolences may be sent to treadwayandwiggerfuneralchapel.com

Rest in peace “Moma” and “Pretty Momma.” We love you.
