Rocking out for

the last time
Dear editor,

It has long been a tradition at GeoCentral to open up our wholesale warehouse to the general public during the last six weeks of each year. In May, after nearly 30 years of co-owning GeoCentral, we succeeded in selling the company. The new owners moved most of the inventory to their corporate headquarters in Ohio, leaving behind a lot of unusual inventory they did not want to move. Furthermore, we had 12,500 feet of warehouse and office equipment to liquidate. Our loyal local customers came on strong for the final clearance sale the last two weekends of July.
Hundreds of people thronged to the sale, many coming back numerous times over the sale dates! It was extremely heartwarming to hear again and again from longtime customers, including many teachers and collectors, how very much they will miss having GeoCentral as a resource for fascinating and unusual minerals, crystals, fossils, seashells and gift items. The sale was phenomenal, but most of all we appreciate the fantastic support from the local community.
