The Air Force’s Thunderbirds precision flying team and the Army’s Golden Knights parachutists will highlight Travis Air Force Base’s Air Expo 2008 this weekend.

The event is free to the public. Gates at Travis AFB, outside Fairfield, open at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The show starts at 10:30 a.m. both days.
In addition to the Thunderbirds and the Golden Knights, there will be other aerial demonstrations, displays of military aircraft and hardware and concessions.

Parking is free. Coolers, backpacks and pets are not allowed.

" It's been too long since I've heard about an Air Show at Travis.

I wish I'd heard about it sooner, so I could plan to go. But at LEAST I know who got a DUI last month. OK, actually, I don't. But I COULD know if I wanted to snoop into other's personal business rather than go to a fun event. "
