Tony Norris, City of Richmond Parks & Landscaping superintendent, was given the Certificate of Merit in the “People Who Make a Difference Awards 2008,” sponsored by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board.

He had been selected by the Community Awareness Committee of the board due to his effective parks planning and directing graffiti removals, clean-ups and other upgrades in city parks and public spaces which have contributed to healthier and safer conditions for the greater Richmond community. Tony Norris is a Napa resident and one of the founding board members of the Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District./Register

" I've known Tony Norris for over 20 years now, and he's a very good person to know and he's very friendly & he has the heart of gold to his family & most importantly his co-workers who look up to Tony as a royal leader at their job in Richmond every day.
