NAPA - On Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at the age of 61, Richard Walter Marchut passed away, following a courageous battle.

Richard graduated from Hogan High School and obtained his AA degree from Solano College. He was employed by Mare Island for many years before its closure.
He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Ann Marchut, mother Ella Marchut and grandmother Blanche Parrish.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane; son Richard AG Marchut (Sonja); daughter Daleena Moran; daughter Dayawna Morgan; step-son Michael Dunn (Lisa); step-daughter Angela Gundlfinger (Mark); father John A. Marchut; brother John Marchut Jr. (Roberta); brother Dennis Marchut (Pat); brother-in-law Lonnie Hill (Tammy); mother-in-law Evelyn L. Hill; 11 grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard had a special place in his heart for his entire family and will be greatly missed.

At Richard’s request there will be no formal service.
