More than $1.1 million was raised to support the families of veterans who have been injured or perished in the line of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.

All you have to do is go out and golf at a Patriot Golf Day participating facility listed on playgolfamerica.com. If it is a public facility, the course will add $1 to your green fees. If you are a member of a private facility, the facility will ask that you make a $1 donation. You may also donate online at patriotgolfday.com.

The proceeds raised during Patriot Golf Day nationwide will benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation to provide educational scholarships to families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives in the line of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Other participating facilities include Rancho Solano Golf Course, Mare Island Golf Club, and Lone Tree Golf Course in Antioch.
