ST. HELENA - Marcia “Marcie” Frances Danner, a 38-year resident of Calistoga, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at St. Helena Hospital. She was 61. Marcie was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Farmingdale, N.Y., to John and Maddie Danner.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roger Demmin; her daughter, Katie Danner-Demmin of Honolulu, Hawaii; her three sisters: Diane Dumond (Sam), Joan Michaux (Dick) and Lynn Dyke (John) and her brother, John Danner (Judy). Marcie loved plants of all kinds, animals, reading and gatherings with family and friends. She brought people together. Marcie was the perfect hostess and put others at ease with her humor and warmth. She gave more to others than she kept for herself and touched an enormous amount of lives. She will be greatly missed by us all. Marcie, we love you.
A private memorial will be held with immediate family on Saturday, Aug. 23, to celebrate her life and the love that she gave.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marcie’s name to the Calistoga Public Library or the California Native Plant Society, Napa Valley Chapter.
Arrangements are under the care of Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa. Family and friends are invited to send condolences online at www.rpfsc.com.
