State Sen. Patricia Wiggins, D-Santa Rosa, is facing criticism after she swore at a Sacramento-area pastor during a hearing on how to cut the state’s carbon footprint.

A Napa man died Sunday after falling from a cliff on a beach in Sonoma County, according to authorities.

Graffiti vandals were busy Sunday night leaving their marks on several parked cars, fences and signs in American Canyon’s Veterans Park, police said.

On Tuesday evening around 6 p.m., a car crashed into a power pole, knocking out electricity to the area and closing West Imola near South Jefferson and Coombs St. Injuries appeared to be minor. At this time it is not known when Imola will be re-opened, or when power will be restored.
