A good brush for the grill is an essential tool for every grillmeister.
A Connecticut firm has designed and manufactured the be-all, end-all in eco-friendly grill brushes that actually does the job it claims to do.
There are two models — the Grill Daddy and the Grill Daddy Pro — and both are lightweight and user friendly. Both are designed to thoroughly, quickly and easily clean any barbecue grill with the power of steam no matter the extent of the mess. All you need to do is follow a few simple instructions and the backyard grill will be clean again.
First up is the Grill Daddy, a quintessential tool for camping, a beachside bonfire or a summer barbecue at a roadside park. It’ll be easy to clean up the travel grill with the press of a button, release of a little steam and the stroke of the Grill Daddy brush. At only 14 inches long, the Grill Daddy is an ideal companion for compact travel grills and retails for $19.99.
However, the Grill Daddy Pro is for the serious chef, the family grillmeister. At $24.99, it’s great for cleaning large grills after a backyard dinner party. The Grill Daddy Pro measures 22 inches long and has ergonomically correct handles for use with either hand.
All you need to do is add some water to a compartment in the handle and provide a little elbow grease. Designed with safety in mind, the Grill Daddy’s handles keep hands away from the heat source and provide maximum leverage while heavy duty stainless steel bristles break up caked-on food without harming metal or porcelain-covered grill grates. By liquefying the grease, it prevents future grease buildup in the brush and cleans grills down to the original surface, restoring sear marks for grilling perfection.
Dishwasher safe, the brushes easily detach to make brush cleanup relatively easy.
The Grill Daddy and Grill Daddy Pro are available at Target, Wal-Mart and online at www.grilldaddy.net. Replacement brushes are also available for both Grill Daddy and Grill Daddy Pro.
