Napa United wins SLO round-robin tourney

The Napa United under-15 boys soccer team won its age division at the 20th Annual North vs. South Tournament in San Luis Obispo last weekend.
The United — part of the Napa Valley Futbol Club and coached by Miguel Ayala — won the round-robin tournament by leading the field with 28 points.
Napa opened the tournament on Saturday with a 3-2 win over the hosting San Luis Obispo Fire, with all three goals scored by Juanbaldo Gomez. That afternoon, the United tied Danville’s Mustang Revolution 2-2, getting goals from Juan Montanez and Jovany Herrera.
On Sunday, the United routed Beach Futbol Black from Long Beach 6–0. Raul Torres and Montanez each had two goals to lead the scoring, while Juan Casillas and Fabian Quintana each added one goal.
The United finished the tournament with a 0-0 tie against Madrid Premier from the SLO area.
