O'Day-Azevedo engagement

Jaymie O’Day and Robbie Azevedo, both of Napa, are pleased to announce their engagement to be married July 19, 2008, in Napa Valley.

Feikert-Straughn wedding

Sophia Feikert, of Concord, and Chris Straughn, of Napa, were married June 7, 2008, at Hillside Christian Center, in Napa.

Residents honored at Gonzaga, named to dean's list

Jacob Clifford Spears, a junior from Napa, was among the 899 undergraduate students named to the Gonzaga University President’s List for spring semester 2008. Students must earn a 3.7 or better grade-point average to be listed.

Napan named to dean's list

Heidi A. Farrington was named to the Niagara University academic dean’s list for the Spring 2008 semester. To qualify, students must attain a 3.25 academic grade-point average for the semester.

Resident receives certificate of recognition

The Delta Chi Educational Foundation recognized Sloan Alexandre Heffron for exceeding the foundation’s academic standards. Heffron was presented with a certificate of recognition for his achievement. He is the son of Patricia Heffron of Napa.

Napan graduates

A senior class of 570 students earned degrees during commencement exercises at Grove City College, Pa., on May 17, 2008. Julia Iverson received a bachelor of arts degree in communication studies. She is a 2003 graduate of Napa High School and daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Iverson of Napa.
