On Friday, a little before 4 p.m., a man walked into the Subway on Jefferson Street and demanded an unknown amount of cash from the register, Napa Police reported Saturday.
The man then fled the scene on foot southbound on Jefferson Street.

The suspect, a black man in his 40s, was wearing a blue jacket and sweats, police said. Napa Police Sgt. Brian McGovern said Saturday the man has not been found.

" Lets see- armed robberies are increasing the same time the city keeps building apartment complexes. Cindy Coffey of American Canyon had it right. A surplus of apt. units encourages alot of people from other areas to move to Napa. Some of those areas are high crime areas. "

Was this guy armed? Knife?, Gun?...What?

Dwayne has it right He should have had them make a sandwich!!!!! "

" To assume that apartment dwellers and people who move here from out of town are somehow substantard citizens committing all the crime in Napa is ludicris! As a local apartment manager I rent to people who move to Napa from all around the world think it is hilarious that someone from Napa would think Napans are "better" citizens than the rest of the world! Maybe this guy was from "out of town" and lives in an apartment...but suggesting that apartment dwellers are all the criminals is an unfair stereotype upon those who can't "afford" or desire to buy a home...which by the way...I think just maybe the housing markets STINKS anyways right now! " I have said this before. Napa needs a crime suppression unit. Undercover officers driving cars that blend in. Then the patrol sgt could call them in to saturate the area and look for the suspects. I'm sure the officers drove around looking but suspectx will not surface with that tactic. "

" A black man in this 40' s .... robs a store in Napa. This article is slaming black people. Race is irrelevant as it leads people to irrational conclusions about black people.

It was not too long ago, that it was a rarity to see any black men in Napa. We have come along way. "

" Five! Five dollar! Five dollar foot long! It must be catching on!

They used to say get in, sit down, shut up, and hold on..

Now its get in, sit down, put on your bluetooth, seat belt, and then talk all you want, but hold on with two hand on the wheel..

When I was a delivery driver many moons ago, I could talk on my cell eat a burger and fries, and drive a stick shift with a soda between my legs.

Thats talent! Sorry kind of random.

LOL "

" mofosheee, the article is not slamming black people, it's only identifying who did the crime and hoping someone saw something around that time. Remember a few weeks ago when a white guy was robbing stores here in town? They said he was white. Were they slamming white people? No.

Anyway, is it the Subway shop on Jefferson and Imola? Anyone know? "
