" It seems like the crime rate has going up in Napa a lot lately, and it appears to be a lot more going on than just vandals targeting parked cars at night. By the way, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Dept. was very successful in catching two punks vandalizing cars in Glen Ellen the other night...and it only took one night to catch them. As economy continues to get worse, crime will continue to go up. Theft, robberies and assaults will be the topics of our conversations in the near future. As a community, we need to look out for each other and report crime as it happens. "

" hudds5 - You are right on target. Hoping we will, as a community, work to increase law enforcement. I believe this will require greater participation from all of us. If we hear or see something suspicious we should call 911. "

" ADark1 it wasn't a repo man. When a repo agency takes your thing (boat, truck, bike, car, whatever) they must call local pd once they have possession of it. It's a Ca law (forgive me but I don't remember it's designation) and if they don't call it in they get fined if they get stopped by police. They would also have a repo order from the financing company to show to officers in case they get stopped. "

" What?!!! I cant believe it, another crime in Napa, committed by a Napkin?
Shocking, no one even had time to blame it on Vallejo before the perp was caught. "

asahigo: If you 'don't remember it's designation': Either look it up, that is, google it, or don't bring it up, because otherwise, you can't substantiate what you're saying. Prove it, or be silent, otherwise, you're just spreading an unsubstantiated opinion. In other words, put your money where your mouth is, otherwise, don't comment. "

" missmarvelous,

Could you please stop with the slap-happy nonsense about Napans blaming all their violent crimes on folks from Vallejo. That's NOT the point. The point is quite simple, so please follow along:

Napa is seeing more and more violent crime and serious property crimes with each passing day and at the SAME TIME, Napa is more and more resembling Vallejo. The changes that took place in Vallejo over the past 4 decades changed that place in to being a pretty undesireable, urban community. The SAME changes are happening in Napa, and the SAME problems are resulting.

You're not one of those who hates the truth, are you? "
