" I wonder if Mr. Sam Shweiki would like to come o BMII and be part of the "~NVR Bloggermania Force~" (It has a ring to it, you have to admit) to "~Make Napa Better For Ourselves By Ourselves~".
Just a thought. "

" Graffiti Abatement does a wonderful job. I would like to address the issue of the bike bridge over hwy 29 (CA Blvd. to Solano): this stretch is a visual nightmare. The graffiti is racist, hateful, and breeding violence. I was told that it is not in the jurisdiction of the Graffiti Abatement officer to clean it up. Why? Also, the new building at First & Randolph is already tagged on the back side (Second St), about 2 feet high by 8 feet wide. Quite unsightly. "

" We pretty took care of the skateboarding with a few parks. Why not let some of the taggers work on a couple walls and let them work out their frustrations. Vancouver, Seattle and SFO has had great results channelling gang tags into viable art work to be proud of. "

" In regards to "napa wine guy's" good suggestion: I've always thought that a dedicated wall for taggers may work and I'm sure we could learn a lot from the successes and failures of cities like SF and Seattle. I guess an issue is, how do we tell gangs to play nice and respect the artwork of others (rivals)? I could see the idea working for graffiti "artists" more so than gang members, perhaps. "
