Napa Police officers attempting to serve an arrest warrant on Wednesday afternoon found themselves in a foot pursuit after the suspect bolted from a west Napa residence.

The action started around 3:30 p.m., in the 2600 block of Old Sonoma Road.
Officers were looking for Chris Ingewell, Napa Police Sgt. Chase Haag said.

Haag did not know what felony charge Ingewell is wanted on.
When officers tried to arrest Ingewell he dashed out the back door of the house and ran through several backyards, jumping fences, Haag said.

He was cornered by officers in the 100 block of Roosevelt Street, handcuffed and taken into custody.
He was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for medical clearance and then taken to the county jail for booking.

Haag said neighbors helped with the capture of Ingewell by calling police dispatch with information of his whereabouts.

Ingewell is on parole.
