Laura Cunningham taking PJ Steak space
Laura Cunningham, who managed front-of-the-house operations at the French Laundry, has signed a lease for the space at 6725 Washington St. in Yountville that has housed Frankie, Johnny and Luigi, Pere Jeanty and PJ Steak.
She will open a Sicilian/southern Italian restaurant named Vita for her late grandmother in mid-2009.
Silo’s jazz night club opens in Napa
Napa has a new nightclub focusing on jazz and the great American songbook.
Silo’s Wine Bar has opened quietly in the Napa Mill complex in former DG’s jazz club.
Husband/wife pianist and singer Mike Greensill and Wesla Whitfield run the place with Harry Price, who developed the complex.

After more than 40 years in the food and wine industry, Peter K. Huwiler has created his own brand, Napa Station.

Phelps sells Le Mistral brand
Joseph Phelps Vineyards has sold its popular Rhône varietal-based Le Mistral brand to Ventana Vineyards in Monterey County, which has supplied the grapes for the wine for the past 11 years.
Tony Correia retires
Well-known vineyard appraiser Tony Correia is retiring from Correia-Xavier, the business he ran with Stan Xavier.
Correia has turned over the president’s reins to Xavier and will ease into retirement.

It was great!, good fast service, VERY CLEAN conditions, incredibly affordable (my freind had this HUGE half rotisserie chicken and potatos for only $8!)
The only complain I have about the place is the parking. There is a lot of parking, but the spaces are very VERY narrow. I fear that car door's are going to get hit very often.
I'll be back for sure. "
