Napa Smith's pale ale takes first

On June 28, the Napa Valley's newest brewery, Napa Smith Brewery journeyed to Reno to participate in the El Dorado Casino's Blues & Brews Festival, and walked away with first place in the pale ale category in a blind taste test among several highly credited brewers from around the West Coast.

There were more than 40 breweries in Reno participating in the annual event.

"Its great to have our new brewery recognized as a top quality producer of fine beers from the Napa Valley," said master brewer Don Barkley.

Napa Smith beers are now available on draft throughout the valley, and 22 ounce bottles of pale ale, amber ale, and wheat beer will be showing up in stores this month.
