Elizabeth Neumann of Napa recently graduated from the University of Portland with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. University President Rev. E. William Beauchamp, C.S.C., conferred 607 bachelors’ and 162 masters’ degrees during the commencement exercises held May 4, in the Earle A. and Virginia H. Chiles Center on the University of Portland campus.

Casey Souza, Class of 2003 Vintage High School graduate, has received her bachelor’s degree in animal science with concentrations in companion captive animals from UC Davis on June 15. After touring and studies in Europe and Africa this summer, she plans on pursuing her master’s degree and start applying to veterinary schools to complete her doctorate in veterinarian medicine.
Julia Christine Piper graduated magna cum laude from Biola University in La Mirada on May 24. She received a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish with a minor in Bible studies. She also completed the requirements to obtain a secondary teaching credential. During her junior year she spent six months in Central America studying in Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua and Guatemala. Julia graduated from Napa High School in 2004. She is the daughter of Chris and Alice Piper./Register
