Robberies suspect arrested
By MARSHA DORGAN
Register Staff Writer
Early Wednesday, Napa County Sheriff’s investigators issued a release stating they were looking for Bryan Klingler in connection with several robberies in Napa and around the North Bay. On Wednesday afternoon, Klingler was arrested at a Vallejo motel.
Klingler, 31, of Napa, was wanted for questioning in connection with for robberies in Napa, Vallejo, Vacaville, Fairfield and Benicia.
The California Highway Patrol, along with Napa detectives, received information on Wednesday regarding Klingler’s whereabouts. The information led investigators to the Best Western Inn in Vallejo, where Klingler was arrested without any trouble, sheriff’s Lt. Tom Commander said.
Commander said officers believe Klingler is responsible for robberies at Jamba Juice, Baskin-Robbins, Subway and Quizno’s stores in Napa, and a robbery at Country Creamery in American Canyon.
Klingler was booked into the Solano County jail, awaiting prosecution on robbery charges in that county.
It will be up to the Solano and Napa counties district attorney’s office to determine when Klingler will be returned to Napa County to face possible criminal charges here, Commander said.
