Viva the auction!
Dear editor, On behalf of the board of directors, the staff, and most especially, the patients of Community Health Clinic Ole and Sister Ann Community Dental Clinic, we want to congratulate the Napa Valley Vintners on a most successful Auction Napa Valley and thank them for selecting Clinic Ole as the recipient of this year's Fund-a-Need auction lot.
Since 1984, when it became the third beneficiary of auction funds after the Queen of the Valley Medical Center and St. Helena Hospital, Clinic Ole has received critically-needed funding from Auction Napa Valley. Over the years, Clinic Ole has used auction funds not only to broaden the types of services we provide, but also to expand the number of clinics we operate, now totaling five, in addition to our main clinic at the Napa Valley Vintners Community Health Center (which also houses Healthy Moms & Babies and Napa Emergency Women's Services).
Last year, Clinic Ole provided almost 53,000 patient visits to more than 22,500 adults and children and we anticipate exceeding these numbers this year. We have seen excellent growth in both our pediatric dental and medical programs, where children receive comprehensive health services and parents are encouraged to provide healthier choices for their children. As our mission states, Clinic Ole is committed to providing high-quality, affordable, compassionate and culturally sensitive primary medical and dental care to Napa County's underserved. We will be able to continue our mission thanks to Auction Napa Valley and our other wonderful supporters.
We are so fortunate to live and work in a community where those less fortunate have a wide variety of programs and services to assist them in meeting the challenges of everyday life. We know we speak for all the nonprofit auction beneficiaries by saying how grateful we are to the vintners, the volunteers and the guests of Auction Napa Valley.
