Orchestra Baobab brings Opera House audience to its feet
I’ve heard some fantastic dance music from my seat at the Napa Valley Opera House: Boogaloos from Buckwheat Zydeco, hip-shaking Latino rock from Los Lobos, infectious Western swing from Asleep at the Wheel. But no matter how compulsive the rhythms get, I tend to stay put, along with most of the audience, until the end of the show — no dancing in the aisles for us.

Napa Valley Dance Studio presents its annual recital “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” Saturday at St. Helena High School Auditorium. Show times are 1 and 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the studio, located at 960 Pearl St. in Napa, and at the door 30 minutes before the show. Prices are $12 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under.
