Post-election thoughts

The first thing that stands out is having to wait until June 27 for all the ballots to be counted. It appears that it will only matter in one race, Supervisor for District 2 where Mike Rodriques fell only 54 votes short of second place. Why make the candidates wait that long to start to prepare for what could be a hard fought race?
