Napa police are looking for a car that may have been involved in a hit-and-run accident with a motorcycle at the corner of Oak Street and Riverside Drive. The motorcycle driver was sent to the hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries, police said. The crash happened at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

“It looks like he's going to be OK,” said Napa Police Sgt. Mike Hensley.

" What is wrong with people in this town? This is the second serious hit and run incident this week. Hit and run drivers should be made an example of when they are finally caught. "

" WHAT? Do we have some kind of a trend going on here? COWARDS! Nothing but COWARDS!
Super Bowl Sunday Mrs. Clark lost her legs to a hit n run driver. A child was hit n run on Beard n Trancas...a young boy on Jefferson was hit and the man tried to run....a little girl was killed by a hit n run driver...this boy was hit and the COWARD ran. I am sick! "

" Alot of times as we all know even though it's no exuse by any means, several factors play a part making the hit and run driver. H&R drivers are either scared to stop after an accident, drunk or have been drinking, no vehicle insurance, or could be an undocumented resident fearful of the police. On all or either account(s), they should be caught, and made to face their horrible deed. H&R drivers are on the rise, and we as good citizens should be made to look out for innocent lives around us as well as the motorist who chooses to run. "

" I agree with Napa, and it's a sad state of affairs when people care more about themselves and deportation than human life. "

" Maybe we need some cameras on our streets to catch these scumbags! This is a joke. I witnessed an accident on Saturday, downtown. One driver, of a non-american origin, ran the stop light at franklin and second st. and collided with another driver. Both were in large trucks and the driver who caused the accident swore she had a green light. Unfortunately for her, 2 eyewitneses including me, disagree! No way was I gonna leave without making sure the person at fault was reported to law enforcement. Also, the vehicle she was in was totaled, otherwise I feel she might have made a run for it! "

" I think that the comment regarding, "It takes a community to raise up a child", is the best approach. We all need to pray for the family and their horrific gief and loss.
With regards to the unidentified driver: I agree again that we all need to be more aware and observant; take the detours in life which are opportunities to serve others. Are we all in so so much of a hurry that we loose our humanity.
Such a GREAT loss! "

" NVR Commentator, any update on this story? maybe a story this weekend updating all the hit and runs around Napa this past year? What we can do, neighborhood watch, how to install your own security cameras in your neighborhood? 1969: Good point... any witnesses to this hit and run, any description? 1badwhiteboy: I used to be more laid back about illegal immigrants. Now I'm getting more upset, they seem to have more DUIs, accidents, and hit and runs that legal immigrants and natives. In Mexico, the "status quo" for accidents is to hit and run. That's not cool here. Also concerned about all the vineyard workers drinking in the fields after work, like cases of beer, and then driving totally drunk. I don't this the police can keep up. The winery owners and vineyard management companies need to do a better job of policing their own work force and making sure the workers aren't leaving drunk. "
