Umpqua to expand wine business
Umpqua Bank has added six commercial lenders, expanding the company’s commercial banking services in the greater Bay Area.
The new officers will focus on commercial loans in the Bay Area and the company’s growing wine industry business in Napa and Solano counties.
Mark Brody, senior vice president and manager for Umpqua Bank, and five other officers make up the new unit for Umpqua.
“Mark and his team add expertise to an already outstanding and professional group of lenders at Umpqua and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to Napa and Solano counties,” said Ray Davis, president and CEO of Umpqua Bank.
“Mark understands the needs of the region and has the skills and expertise to lead Umpqua's efforts to offer world class community banking to businesses in the greater Bay Area.”
Brody has more than 28 years of commercial industrial and wine specialty lending experience, will be based in Umpqua’s Napa, Commercial Lending Center and will report directly to Robin Hampton, executive vice president of commercial banking for Umpqua.
Brody will oversee San Francisco-based senior vice president and relationship managers Debbie Watson, Katherine Westfall and John Brennan, vice president, relationship manager Del Mastrangelo, and Valerie Beals, administrative and loan assistant. With these additions, Umpqua will open its first San Francisco Commercial Loan Production office in June.
